Current Needs
Recently humanitarian and charitable organizations have encountered significant tariffs when trying to import equipment and supplies. We will purchase available items in Ghana.

Xray
There is an urgent need to equip the medical centre with an ultra sound,  xray, and other diagnostic equipment. New equipment will be purchased in Ghana, at a cost of about $100,000 for a portable unit, and $200,000 for a larger unit.

A Doctor
The SMC badly needs another Doctor.  Dr. Young, the only MD/surgeon, has a very heavy schedule and is appealing for help, to serve the population of 120,000. She is on call 24/7. A substantial annual increase in the SMC budget, will provide the flexibility to hire qualified staff.
